Egads. All I can say is that I am sure glad I didn't have to crack all these nuts as well!  Mike, Penny and I unloaded 11 trailer loads of crackd hazelnut shells. Armed with 5 gallon buckets we scooped and scooped and scooped some more. BUT the end result is BEAUTIFUL! The shells looked beautiful after being hit by the rain. I can only imagine how amazing it will look in late June with the lavender in full bloom.

We decided to redo the walkway and courtyard up by the shop.  Its like spring cleaning here at the herbary!  Gabe the dog is loving all the extra snacks he is able to russle up. He is busy eating all the meat that was left in the shells. I sure hope hazelnuts aren't bad for dogs! :)
