Entry for May 23, 2008 ![]() What a wild week! Weather up in the high 90's, then cold and rainy and 40 degrees. Today was a smattering of everything! Big Wally can't believe how big the tomato plants are getting! We are going to have too many tomatoes to go along with too many eggs!
The day was filled thats for sure. Our friend Sarah came by with some lavender for the herbary. Its good to have plants for sale of Faire Pink Lavender, a super little pink lavender from the guys up in Tumwater. Sarah took some cuttings from Silver Leaf and Sarah, both hard to find varities. It was good to chat up with Sarah and her right hand gal, Gigi. Mom, and I had to make room on the shelves for the new lavender as well as restock our shelves from the babies in the greenhouse. Our plant shelves reach almost all the way to the back fence! I know for sure we have over 90 different Lavenders for sale in the 4 inch pot as well gallons! I think we have about 7 different basils. I don't even know how many different culinary plants right now - guess I am going to have to count them! I finished up the plug trays, I don't think we have room for anymore plants at this time, thank goodness we are building a new greenhouse. I have to get Jimmy from next door help me figure out how much soil is needed to make the house level. Then I am off and running! Watch out! (except that means I have to get MORE hazelnut shells. Anyone want to come out and help??? ) 2008-05-24 02:41:45 GMT
