A way for us to share the excitement and adventures happening in garden. A way to talk about herbs and how to grow them.

Its crazy what a couple of sunny days will do for a field of dirt - suddenly there is a slight green hue to the dirt - and low and behold, there is GRASS! I can't believe it! Of course my neighbor Jimmy - my savior and favorite neighbor just laughs at me, and says "just throw seed in the dirt and it will grow, duh." But he humors me and walks out back to view my "field" up closs and personal. He comments on how one certain patch is full and lush (where I stood and emptied most of the seed bag, only because I was caught up on where the sweet corn/millet line should be, so the hunting will be good. But of course he only sees where I dump most of my seed. Oh well. It does look good there!)

I do find humor in my amusement in the lawn - I mean I do spend most of my time trying to rid the herbary of the "G" word - Grass is bad.

I found some super cool sunflowers to plant behind the butterfly bushes - Laura from Mostly Medicinial sold me some really cool ones that get to be about 16 feet tall! WOW. So I am going to toss them into the ground in the next couple of days- after I find a new fuel filter/ and air filter. Jimmy is fixing the trusty schwartz (tractor). I guess you need to check the fluids more often than every 10 years. Thank goodness for Jimmy to fix all that ails the herbary!

Hopefully I can get started on the greenhouse this next week - we are stuff, and there really isn't anywhere to go... so another house is in order.
